“Church and more importantly, faith, are what drive me. I believe that if we could take the golden rule more seriously, treating our neighbors how we want to be treated, we would have more people interested in the love of Jesus. Along those same lines is God’s call for us to do our best. Growing up in the church has given me a unique perspective as a church leader”.
“After a period of questioning, God gave me ears to hear and called me into the ministry at the age of 19. Youth and children’s ministry bring the unique opportunity of helping them, their parents, and the church start a journey of spiritual formation that can last a lifetime. For years, the church focused on programing that was event based and lacked spiritual formation. This left a generation of adults with a gap in their understanding of how God is still forming them until their journey on earth is complete. Youth and children can see the simplicity of faith in creation and how it reminds us that God is with us, all the time. The crunch of leaves under their feet reminds them, as the seasons change, that God is still in control. Most importantly, I love watching youth and children learn to embrace grace and mercy for themselves and others”
