We’re Glad You’re Here
Welcome to The Memorial Baptist Church
Since 1827, The Memorial Baptist Church has been a lighthouse for Christ, in the Greenville community. Our church family treasures the spiritual and missions-minded heritage we have inherited, and we are embracing the future as we welcome those new to our congregation. We strive for excellence in our worship, our ministries and our missions so that we may serve this community for years to come.
We are guided by a mission to “Serve God, Share Christ and Serve Others” which leads us to be faithful stewards, offering transformative worship, and embracing life-changing missions.
If you are new to our community or if you are not currently connected with a church family, we invite you to consider making The Memorial Baptist Church your home. Come and experience the joy of learning, growing, and serving at TMBC.

What To Expect When You Visit TMBC
What is a typical worship service like?
Sunday worship services begin at 10:55 a.m. TMBC is a friendly congregation that enjoys greeting one another before the service begins with the chiming of the Trinity. We sing hymns accompanied by organ and choir, participate in Scripture readings and hear a message from our senior pastor, Brad Smith.
Where are the entrances?
The main entrance to the sanctuary faces Greenville Boulevard and ushers will be available to assist you in finding a seat. If you are attending a Sunday School class, we suggest you enter through the side door marked “office” and greeters will meet you and help you find a class. Families with children may enter through the office entrance or the Children’s Wing entrance located at the rear of the church near the playground.
What do you have for my children?
Children of all ages are welcome in the sanctuary during worship services. If you prefer, we offer childcare for babies and toddlers. Greeters or ushers will be happy to direct you to the nursery and preschool rooms. During the worship service, usually after the children’s message, toddlers through kindergarten may go to Extended Session for age-appropriate Bible activities. Our childcare workers and volunteers are chosen for their abilities and love for our children.
