Hyeeun is a native of South Korea, where her parents still live. Now a US citizen, Hyeeun is married to Dr. Josiah Stocker, a collaborative pianist who serves in the Musical Theatre program at ECU. Hyeeun holds music degrees from Han Yang University (Seoul, Korea), Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), and San Diego State University. She also holds a graduate certificate in collaborative piano from the University of Southern California. In addition to her service as our Church Organist, Hyeeun will continue teaching music at Creekside Elementary School in Winterville.

Hyeeun has served a number of churches as organist. She also has a long and deep connection to the life of the church. Her father was the pastor of the church in which she grew up and came to faith in Christ (and where her father put her to work accompanying the hymns at the age of nine).
