Em Troyan, Coordinator of Office Administration and Communications
Emily Troyan, who goes by Em, took the position of TMBC Coordinator of Office Administration and Communications in December of 2022. Raised in Grove City, Ohio, Em attended Capital University where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance with Musical Theatre & Opera emphasis. She served as the assistant director of Jackson Middle School’s “Spark of Class” show choir from 2018-2020. During that time, the group won several awards, including Overall Grand Champions: Middle School Division, Best Vocals, Best Choreography, and Best Combo.
Em and her husband Andy moved to Greenville in June of 2020, where Andy started a position as a Validation Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific. He now leads the Co-op program there. Since moving to Greenville, Em and Andy have enjoyed supporting local businesses and getting to know the community. They have adopted two dogs from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina: Lucy and Ziti. Em joined the Greenville Choral Society in January of 2022 and has since been able to participate in a number of wonderful performance opportunities, including the London premier of Kim Andre Arnesen’s TUVAYHUN- Beatitudes for a Wounded World, and Elaine Hagenberg’s Illuminare at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In July of 2023, Em and Andy welcomed to the world their son, Anderson.
