Dear TMBC Family,

Our COVID-19 Response Team met Tuesday, May 18 to review our current church protocols and looked at new insights we have learned in the recent weeks regarding COVID-19.

In light of the decrease we see regarding the virus, an increase in vaccinations, and our hope to keep everyone as safe as possible, we updated our COVID-19 guidelines as follows:

– Face Masks, Social Distancing and Entry Protocol
Given the current conditions and recommendations from the CDC and state leaders, we will NOT require masks to be worn by fully vaccinated people in the building.  Wearing a mask will be optional for those who are fully vaccinated.

We will no longer have spacing between the pews but do ask that you respect those who would like to remain socially distanced.

Out of love and concern for one another, we ask everyone to consider those around them and show respect for each person’s decision regarding the wearing of masks in every situation.

We will continue to use our entry protocol to the church facility.  If you are sick and/or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms (to include fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing) we request that you not enter the church at this time.

– Sanitizing Facilities
Our facilities staff continues the hard work of cleaning and sanitizing the church building. These cleaning practices have become routine in daily duties.

Anti-bacterial liquid will continue to be made available at entrances in order for you to sanitize while in the building.  Face masks will be available for those who would like one to use.

– Use of Hymnals, Offering Plates, and other sharable items
We will continue to utilize our screen for scripture, hymn lyrics and announcements.  We will also use the marked receptacles for offerings and tithes.  These will be returned to use in the future.

We continue to pray that these temporary adjustments to our ministry programming will ensure we are doing all we can to more fully love one another with a non-anxious presence, during this anxious time. In the meantime, let us be reminded of the words of Paul: … “in humility regard others above yourselves, looking not at your own interests, but to the interest of others.  Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus…”

Our COVID-19 Response Team will continue to meet and give recommendations in this ever-changing situation.  Should you have questions, please feel free to contact a minister or a member of the team.  Thank you for your continued support of our church’s greater mission and vision, and especially for your understanding and cooperation.

Grace and peace to all of you!

The COVID-19 Response Team
