What to Expect When You Visit TMBC

What is a typical worship service like?
Sunday worship services begin at 10:55 a.m. TMBC is a friendly congregation that enjoys greeting one another before the service begins with the chiming of the Trinity. We sing hymns accompanied by organ and choir, participate in Scripture readings and hear a message from our senior pastor, Brad Smith.

Where are the entrances?
The main entrance to the sanctuary faces Greenville Boulevard and ushers will be available to assist you in finding a seat. If you are attending a Sunday School class, we suggest you enter through the side door marked “office” and greeters will meet you and help you find a class. Families with children may enter through the office entrance or the Children’s Wing entrance located at the rear of the church near the playground.

What do you have for my children?
Children of all ages are welcome in the sanctuary during worship services. If you prefer, we offer childcare for babies and toddlers. Greeters or ushers will be happy to direct you to the nursery and preschool rooms. During the worship service, usually after the children’s message, toddlers through kindergarten may go to Extended Session for age-appropriate Bible activities. Twice a month, first through fifth graders are invited to attend Junior Church in the Music Suite. These special Sundays are noted in our worship bulletins and are optional for families. Our childcare workers and volunteers are chosen for their abilities and love for our children.

Hispanic Service – 4:00pm

A growing and dynamic service is held each Sunday afternoon by the Hispanic pastor and lay members of his congregation. Bible study for children, youth, and adults along with congregational worship and music by the Hispanic worship team are a part of this ministry. This ministry focuses on a strong identity with the Hispanic culture and traditions. As a mission of the church, the Hispanic congregation also participates in various events for children, youth, and adults held by TMBC. A family oriented Bible study meets each Wednesday evening.

Chinese Service – 9:45am

A Chinese service is held each Sunday on the second floor of the education building in room F107. This ministry is comprehensive and includes Bible study, worship, and singing – all in Mandarin. Various lay persons lead the service. The congregation also celebrates various festivals and Chinese events throughout the year at TMBC.
